On this page, I will give my own personal novel review of My Jim.

The interesting fiction novel My Jim by Nancy Rawles, which takes place in the United States during the 1800's is about a generous and loving woman named Sadie who faces slavery and romance in order to discover who she is. Published in 2005, My Jim has 192 pages. Jim, is a character taken from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and his story is elaborated in this novel. Rawles tells the insightless point of view of Sadie (Jim's wife) and his family. Sadie, his wife is put through alot when she sees people in her life that she really cares about either die or get sold off. Nancy Rawles also shines a light on the relationship between Jim and Sadie. She also shows how much of a hardworking husband and father Jim is. This novel contains truthful, powerful but yet raw moments. Her writing makes the readers want to turn the page. I would recommend this novel to people around age 12 and up.
